I graduated with an honours degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2008. I then undertook a Vocational Training programme based in Kilkenny. The following year I started working in Pembroke Dental and I spent three fulfilling years treating patients here in Carlow. Keen to develop my skills in a broad range of dentistry, I returned to Dublin Dental Hospital where I spent a year working as a Senior House Officer. Here, I got the opportunity to develop my skills in orthodontics, oral surgery and paediatric dentistry. Following completion of my year at DDH, I then moved to St. James's Hospital where I accepted a Registrar position in the Oral & Maxillofacial Department. This was a fantastic opportunity to develop my surgical skills even further and also get a deep insight into the diagnosis and management of facial trauma, swellings and head and neck cancer. My main area of interest is orthodontics and I was delighted to be offered the position of Orthognathic Registrar while working in St. James's Hospital. I am also a fully certified dentist in the provision of 'Fast Braces' which is becoming hugely popular with our patients. I enjoy all facets of dentistry and pride myself in building respectful relationships with patients while trying to tailor treatment plans to meet each patient’s specific needs and budget.
